Bio:
OK! OK! OK!
Stop the nagging already!
Although I'm not really looking forward to the promised entertainment (just kidding Jane), here goes:
My greatest claim to fame in the last 41 1/2 years would have to be scoring a perfect 20 on the history exam on the "Musings" page. Do I get a trophy or at least a poster suitable for framing?
Other than that I have been married for 30 years to a
wonderful woman who has prevented me from pursuing my original goal of becoming
a homeless wino, we have a terrific 21 year old daughter, we have lived in AZ
(where we met) and CO (from which we are moving soon) and also briefly in NV and
OH.
After forays into the hospitality industry in CO and CA, for the last 30 years or so I have worked in management and estimating in heavy highway (please don't ask if there are light highways) and infrastructure construction. I've been closely involved in many large projects such as interstate highways, Denver International Airport (the largest construction project in the world at the time), the Central Arizona Project - huge pipelines carrying water from the Colorado River to Phoenix and Tucson, thereby saving Arizona from reverting to the uninhabitable desert that it was meant to be, infrastructure for thousands of homes, replacement of decaying water, sewer and storm mains and other good and noble stuff.
I've also dabbled in real estate, property management and a few other schemes (no, not scams) with varying degrees of success and/or failure. That's about it. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
